It’s April, and that means a new incentive is up! Time to get clean with Phoebe! I had a bit of trouble uploading this one, but it’s working now, so…
As for this comic…
The matter is settled. The roles are set. They’re finally ready to pile into that Mystery Machine. Tyler, by the way, is now recast as Shaggy. We didn’t clearly establish that in the comic but I thought we didn’t need to really spend time on that because I doubt he’d really get much of a say in the matter.
Onwards and upwards, people!

My tongue has been said to be at the vary least gold plated because if I can’t totally win an argument I can usually confuse my opponent to the point that they don’t know what the argument was.

Depends if his Fredening is a Cinderella thing (which makes Cy his fairy Godfather?). That raises an interesting question: How does one tell if they’re a were-Shaggy?
I think you can tell when there are claw marks on the cupboard where you keep the Scooby Snacks.

Speak truth to power. And in this scenario, there’s no more dangerous a power than Daphne.
Just saying the right words can make anyone calm down and happy to agree.
Not sure these are the right words for all present, though.
Well said Tyler. Besides, Phoebe is one who takes pride in how she looks. And complements like that can easily help people like that agree with you. When used sparingly.
Now, you just have to use that silver tongue on on your girlfriend. Except you have to focus less on her appearance (she won’t truely buy that when compared to Phoebe), and more on her personality and what she means to you.
Or you could just continue to play cool and rely on her still liking you like that.
Tyler is young and still has a lot to learn. I trust that he’s up for the challenge, given the fact that he seems to have considerably more brain cells than Colin. But it’s still a learning process.
And you never stop learning.

Might be. The astute will note that Daphne’s Scooby outfit now. Has to low-key compete against Phoebe’s Velma. So…

Phoebe’s outfit looks odd without Velma’s shoes, then I noticed that Puck’s outfit appears to be shoeless as well. Will the girls renew their bond over shoe shopping?
Well, I am sure they’ll get the appropriate shoes off-screen.

A smart person would have toned that observation down a bit because 1) she looks good in anything (seriously, how does she DO that to clothes???) and 2) She’s not Daphne’s mom. This can only end badly for Tyler. Which will be fun. 🙂
It’s not as bad as tin. Copper maybe? Besides, tin is rare historically.
I remember hearing about the historical rarity of tin in the Bronze Age. Wacky. Especially for a metal that we now equate with garbage.

In alchemy, each of the seven “planets” was associated with a different metal. Jupiter’s metal was tin.

I only remembered afterwards that one of bronze’s two primary ingredients is tin. So really kind of a dumb comparison on my part.
Not really. Bronze is a step up from tin; if it wasn’t, there would be no reason to create it.

When given the choice between being right and being alive, I tend to choose the latter. But I’m old and jaded.
I never noticed this until Panel 3.
While Puck and Phoebe are physically close to each others’ measurements, there is a distinct difference – one that I thought would logically be reversed.
In Panel 3, you drew Robin with legs for days and a shorter torso; with Phoebe the exact opposite (you can tell this by the point of rotation of the hip joint. Phoebe’s seems to be lower).
I would have expected Phoebe to be more leggy.
What must also be considered is the fact that I’m not always the best at getting characters on-model. So case in point: I drew panel three with the full intent of getting Puck and Phoebe to be the same height, but somehow Phoebe ended up taller. So I had to shrink Phoebe in post, and that might explain the difference.
Though I do typically think of Puck as “legs for days” and Phoebe as “curves for days”. There is a difference to their builds, but it’s slight and I don’t always draw them right.
I seem to recall in the early days of this feature, Robin/Puck complained on being confused as a boy. She certainly grew out of that problem in recent years.
Well, yeah. Baby creation did alter her a bit.
She complained that she was mistaken for a boy SEVERAL CENTURIES AGO. 1595 to be exact.
But who’s counting?
The pink aura surrounding Phoebe seems to indicate that Tyler’s words have mollified her feelings somewhat. But Puck is still radiating red. The woman is still not happy..

Huh. Silver usually isn’t inclined to brag. Mostly they tend to be bitter that they aren’t gold.
Except when it comes to tongues.
Maybe Ty needs to watch “Jurassic Park” again; he is so preoccupied with whether or not he COULD say it, he didn’t stop to consider whether he SHOULD say it.
We all hit that point some time in our teen years.
