IT’S A VALENTINE’S DAY VOTING INCENTIVE!!!
Just a little Puck for the post-Valentine’s Day peoples, so…
VOTE TO PROVE ROMANCE ISN’T DEAD!!!
As for this comic…
We’re getting very near. Any minute now. And by ‘minute’, I do mean ‘week’. The suspense is killing me!
My wife informed me that she’s found this entire story arc somewhat distressing due to the simple fact that Phoebe is dressed in an outfit that looks far more suited to Puck, and it’s causing some sort of cognitive dissonance for her. And my initial plan was to have Puck play Velma, but I really wanted to pull the ‘lose her glasses’ gag, and that didn’t work as well if the character wearing the glasses didn’t actually need them.
Oh well. The cognitive dissonance will end soon enough when this interminable story arc does.
Look behind you, a three-headed monkey!
Or don’t. It’s not going anywhere. There’s no rush.
Unlike Geddy Lee….. but I think that this joke’s time may have come to an end perhaps.
It’s never too late for Rush jokes.
It is for Neil Peart…
Too soon?
We encourage “too soon” in this forum.
Power stance…. could that have been influenced by the “WONDER WOMAN” tv show?
Almost certainly.
“Don’t look back; something might be gaining on you.”
Satchel Paige.
It’s easier to not.
It’s one of Shake’s rules to make every problem your slave.
Rule 5: Ignore existence of dilemma, and it shall go away.
Accurate.
Firstly I wanna say that I think pheobe makes a fine Velma and puck a fine Daphne, though I wouldn’t mind seeing what they woudlve looked like as Daphne and velma respectively….maybe a future vote incentive.. and speaking of puck and vote incentives…. HACHI MAMA! This latest one is AMAZING
Yeah, the costume reversal is a fine idea, really. We shall see. And glad you approve of the voting incentive.
It’s gonna hand her the glasses, isn’t it? XD
That would be considerate of it, would it not?
“It’s not you, it’s him.”
Let her down gently.
I do particularly like what you’ve done with Puck’s eyes in the voting incentive. Also another vote for a future voting incentive showing Puck as Velma and Phoebe as Daphne!
I’m not sure what I did with Puck’s eyes in the voting incentive, but if it works, I’m happy.
I think this is your best voting incentive yet. The eyes are VERY seductive, but with more than a hint of shyness. The blushing on her cheeks just adds to it.
Perhaps the title should have been “Phoebe Phinds a Newphound Phorm opf Phortitude”?
Power Stance, Flower Pants, Disco Dance.
Well, the hint of shyness must be really good acting on Puck’s part, given that I don’t think she has much of that in her. But thanks.
I am so relieved that Phoebe’s Power Stance was not accompanied by the “skrunch” of her glasses.
Well, I considered it. But I can’t do ALL the cliches.
the looming thing is holding her glasses isn’t he?
That would be fun.
If it folows the typical Velma w/o glasses narrative, Phoebe will turn and be very kind and sweet to the monster behind her, her poor vision causing her to mistake it for Daphne or another person. Comic hijinks ensue.
It won’t. I feel I already covered that ground with the raccoon. But your breakdown would be fun.
Daphne would not be happy. 🙂
So check the oven ’cause I think your cheesecake is on FIRE
It also makes me think of the Homer Simpson line, “You’ll have to speak up, I’m wearing a towel.”
I believe this is a sash. Which is nothing if not a long towel.
Impromptu toga?
I would insert the relevant “Animal House” clip, but the language isn’t exactly family-friendly…
Well, we need to think of the families here.
Yeah, they’re a lot more demanding of their inappropriate humor than the used to be.
Nice little story there.
The third panel made me think of Aquaman and the forth changed that deliciously. 🙂
I think you and your wife are nuts. First, I agree with Daphne-the-Daughter that this was a more equitable settlement. Second, I agree with you that the glasses gag was worth it, although having Daphne-not-the-Daughter’s glasses fall off would have been fun too. But mostly because right isn’t always funny. This is funny.
[Whew! I almost convinced myself that Past and Mrs. Gecko were right]
Yes, a voting incentive of the costumes swapped would be good.
Flower—you know what, never mind.
I am definitely nuts. My wife is far more grounded.
I may have overstated my case. On both fronts.
I think a “my flashlight! I can’t see without my flashlight!” bit would have been a perfectly acceptable analog to the Velma schtick
One more vote for Phoebe in Flower Pants, please!
So, there are two Dougies. Hmmmm, we haven’t seen Taylor and Daphne in a bit, methinks we need three Dougies . . . of course, as this is a Scooby-Doo cosplay, it’ll turn out to be the gas station owner and his friends, and maybe also Papa Shnorf . . .
Unless this Dougie is the same Dougie. He can move pretty fast.
One of ’em is Mr. Dougie, and the other is Mrs. Dougie. Nice couple in the daytime…
I am waiting for the reveal of a stoned Papa Smorf who fell in the mud while out looking for certain fungi.
Dude. Don’t spoil it.
Puck Incentive – WOW!
And remember, ‘wow’ spelled backwards … is ‘wow’.
And spelled upside down … it’s “mom”
Puck is the wow mom.
Oh boy! Phoebe is making all kinds of new friends! 😉
That’s what happens when you go to cons.
@EG, your reply made me LOL. Literally. 🙂
