For the record, it’s really hard to replicate the putrid colour scheme of your standard hospital room. The green has to be a very specific, very ugly shade that someone probably thought was calming back in 1973.
The observant readers will note that Puck is now taking her coffee intravenously — the mark of a true addict. They need to up the dosage, though, because she’s still being all crankypants in panel two.
I can commiserate on the addiction induced crankiness. I’m incredibly cranky when I don’t have my nicotine.
Yes, you smokers can be a crabby lot sometimes. That’s why we make you go outside all the time.
I’m now, officially, 2 months nicotine free!!
*high five*
High five digitally returned.
I almost remember a radio comedy from the Seventies in which we meet a painter who has the job of painting a mental hospital in Bill Louis green (“that’s ‘bilious'”).
Exactly. I have to say that they stopped using that particular shade of disgusting green at some point in time. All the new hospitals I’ve been in seem to prefer crisp whites and less nasty colors. They learned! They actually learned!
Would that much coffee lead to heart palpitations?
I know I used to get those from too many energy drinks. Not sure if coffee has enough caffeine in it to cause the same effect.
Unless your heart has already turned to steel from too much caffeine.
Bianchi Bicycles identifies the color of Puck’s gown as “Celeste”, and they are very proud of it.
Perhaps they chose it as their Trademark because they knew no one would ever copy them ?
Well, they gotta be proud of something, I suppose.
The doctor looks familiar. Wasn’t he in the original run?
He was! In fact, you’ll see under ‘characters’ that the Doctor is listed, and following that link will take you to a page that shows every comic the doctor’s ever been in!
