It’s been a while since I put in a good joke of this nature. This ought to suffice.
My wife nodded knowingly upon seeing this comic. “It’s horribly unfair,” she noted. “You’re larger up there for the first time in your life, but you’ve got this big belly which totally takes away the wow factor.” Alas, if there’s one thing that don’t play fair in life, it’s most certainly pregnancy.
Oh, and if you’re new, welcome to the all-new fantabulous Puck website! It’s really a lot like the old site, but there are a few new perks. For starters, the ‘Characters’ section now includes ALL the characters in the comic, and gives a fairly detailed rundown of appearances. And if, say, you wanted to see all the comics that featured Tracee, just click on her name and you’ll be taken to the Tracee archive! (Shudder.)
You can still comment to your heart’s content; you don’t have to be a member on the site. Just give your name and email, and you’re good as gold. The email address, by the way, is NOT published, nor spammed, nor anything like that. (It’s just requested to discourage spam commenters; that’s all.)
If you were following the RSS feed on the old site, you’ll want to switch over to the new RSS feed for this site, featured in the link on the menu bar. This RSS feed will give you updates on the latest comic releases and all that.
MARCH IS HERE!!! THAT MEANS VOTING INCENTIVE!!!
This particular voting incentive is no longer up on TWC, but you can GET IT AT THE STORE, along with all the other incentives, for a few bucks!
Alas, poor Colin. His mind is lost to us….
It’s easy to lose something so small and insignificant.
Well they don’t completely deflate after the baby is born … and weaned .
The fate of the post-pregnancy puppies seems to vary greatly depending on the individual. Alas, total deflation and droopiness does seem to strike certain women, but we’ll cross our fingers here.
It is a relevant point… 🙂
Even more relevant for Colin!
i think she looks great
I agree. She’s left that ‘awkward’ pregnancy phase and it suits her a bit more now.
Now *I’m* going to be imagining that all night!
There are worse things to have stuck in one’s head.
then again there’s also like my friend with two teens and another whose a few years younger, she’s still tring to loose the weight around the middle….
Then there’s my wife, who (by magic or sorcery or something) lost all her baby weight in ONE WEEK after the birth. We were walking around with a newborn, and people were saying, “That newborn can’t possibly be yours! You’re too thin!”
Your wife is awesome then. Most people, post-pregnant or not, don’t stick to an exercise regime. So a woman who had been pregnant to drop all the weight she gained during pregnancy? Yeah, she’s Superwoman.
The weird thing is that my wife engaged in NO exercise routine beyond a healthy level of walking. It was just witchcraft or something. Mind you, I know of some other women like this. It MIGHT be something hormonal, especially when a woman has a boy, because a female co-worker lost all the baby weight and THEN some after the birth of her boy, and is now the thinnest she’s ever been. Who knows? For the record, my wife took a little longer to lose the weight after the birth of our daughter, so she’s not superhuman. That said, she’s still pretty amazing all around.
Puck is great reading keep up the good work.
I wonder if Puck will breastfeed her little bundle of joy.
Wait and see. There will be some plot points on that one.
I think she looks quite nice in both gravid and ungravid state.
Agreed! But the belly does detract from the, er, assets.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA his face got stuck like that XD
Colin’s face is very, very stuckable.
Ain’t that the truth?!
Then again, I’d probably end up with the same “Holy c—” look on my face if (just saying later in life) my wife got that large during her pregnancy
Life is so unfair for us men
Isn’t it? So hard for us, sitting in our comfy chairs, dreaming of …
Colins mind has fallen victim to his desires…Well i ts not like he had proper brain power to begin with.
Such a thing could be said of all men: victim of desires, lack or proper brain power. At least such a thing could be said of me.
It is true that a man has to have his “focal points” when trying to maintain some level of connection during his wife’s pregnancy and not further disrupt her emotional state. Just not a smart thing to do to her.
But damn, if baby-belly isn’t a huge hill to climb at times. At least it was for me some years back.
Word, brother. Word. I never really figured the whole late pregnancy thing out, then it was over, so I never really got a chance.
I respectfully submit, I’ve heard that in Soviet Russia, hill climbs you.
The Russians know a good thing when they find it. Like vodka.
Indeed, there is more than one good Smirnoff…
Though some might argue that the term “good” is being bandied about a bit generously, here. I am not one of those; my standards are delightfully low.
Well, Puck, at least he’s fantasizing about your … and not someone else’s. That should count for something, right? ^^; Right…?
I don’t think she’s overly bothered by it. She just wants him to get some sleep. She’s a practical woman when it comes right down to it.
Pregnancy appears in all 5 seasons of Angel as a recurring theme.
That’s quite the non-sequitur.
Hey, did you know elephants can’t jump? 😀
In my case, the wife told me the b—ies were totally off limits to me and reserved only for baby.
I just remember the line being ‘They’re very uncomfortable right now.’ Which, I suppose, makes sense. But is a bit disappointing.
Heh, just noticed. Puck’s a true readhead with all those shoulder freckles! And, I’d probably have Colin’s mind-blown look too if I were in that situation! 😉
Puck is about as true a redhead as one can get. For an entirely fictitious character.
You know, I have always had more interest in chests of the moderately-sized variety (B-C cup range) … but I’ll have to admit, there must be something about Puck herself, because now my brain’s stuck on them too. o.O
Must be the impish smile …
An impish smile is a thing of true beauty. But I share your perspective that there can be too much of a good thing.
Whoa. Suddenly loads of comments.
… And her chest is still kinda small.
This is the point where the comic started up on this site. All the other strips in the new run initially ran first on Smackjeeves and DeviantArt, so the bulk of the comments are on those sites. Though I appreciate you populating this new (permanent) home of Puck with your unique observations!
And yeah, like I said before, I don’t really do big on the chest front. It’s an artistic limitation.
Can’t really argue with that. I can’t art at all. I can only diagram. End result of being a scientist rather than an artist. Folks who can do both are strange, mysterious and rare.
Puck is so clever! She must have learned much in her 600+ years!
🙂
I’m really not sure this counts as wisdom.
Well, perhaps it is, in general, unfair, but Puck continues to be blessed in this capacity since the sprog has sprung
Honestly, that happens. The baby sometimes results in permanent shape alteration. Sometimes desirable, other times not.
