Well, she’s specifically stated that her misery hasn’t loved his company, but only when his misery is being distracted by hot chicks. This was my memory of being a teenage boy: “Miserable … miserable … so depressed … so WHOA, WHAT’S THAT? DAAAAAAAANG! … so miserable.”
Suddenly, I have this overwhelming urge to feel sorry for Tyler. You will look back on this moment 30 years from now, and realize… there never was any “good ol’ days”.
I have a huge soft spot for this type of young ‘couple’, the type that communicate like an old married couple. My daughter is five. Her closest friend is a boy. They constantly bicker and argue. Yet they’re still always together. I find it endearing.

Normally, I like her spunk and intelligence (Normally meaning when her target deserves her ire), but Tyler is definitely NOT deserving of her treatment of him. Kinda makes you wonder why he even hangs around her.
Notice she makes Puck think Tyler has never gone to that park, but Tyler’s statement proves not only has he gone, but he hates it. Just another point in the undeserved treatment she gives him.

I find it hilarious, but I also find it all too common. I certainly received similarly awful treatment at the hands of girls I was head over heels for, and I certainly witnessed girls treated awfully by guys they were head over heels for. Teen love is a dangerous, horrible brew. But sometimes we come out the other side with a greater understanding of the fact that our partners are actually human, with real needs. Sometimes.
Well, if Puck put that $10k into a nice interest bearing account, such as a money market or mutual fund with a decent ROI before the soft time jump, she may have conceivably earned enough compound interest to cover Tyler’s entry to the park.
Sixty bucks, plus the cost of crappy theme park food that will likely give you food poisoning later, crappy drinks, and bathrooms that aren’t cleaned often enough because they can’t often enough with the number of people going in and out of them at any given time.
To be honest, the real world equivalent of Canada’s Funderland is actually pretty first rate. Food’s good (expensive but good), washrooms are clean, rides don’t break down. They’ve got an amazing safety record, actually. It’s worth the sixty bucks. But if you’re paying for a small crowd, it does get pricey.
Then it must not be as busy as the theme parks I’ve been to. I went to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio back in high school (Which is considered 35th best in the world, and 15th best in the US), and even in May, when the weather was turning favorable and it wasn’t as crowded as it would become, the bathrooms smelled as I expected.
I don’t remember the food, though. I haven’t been to Ceder Point in the time since.
…I literally laughed out loud after reading this comic. Which is impressive given everything that’s going on at my place at the moment (let’s just say, without Puck, I would have been depressed quite some time ago)…
That’s why soap operas are so popular. Those stuck in the home (making everything run smoothly) watch soap operas to feel ‘somebody else’s’ life is just a bit worse.

I think Daphne has a chance to do a great many things without Puck noticing. This is partly facilitated by Daphne’s own inherent craftiness, yet also facilitated by the fact that Puck really doesn’t care much.
In keeping with my usual sloppy storytelling, we never really established whether she regained her memory or not. Evidence exists that she did. But maybe not.

I hold out hope for Daphne. By the time Miranda is old enough to really get into trouble, Daphne might have morphed into a slightly more responsible individual. Puck’s a lost cause, but Daphne? She’s young. There’s still hope.

Of course, the various levels of government are always itching to cut those subsidies drastically, which is what the strikes are about. Though the strikes (in recent times) have only been in Quebec, where the system is even more subsidized.
Her eyes have been blue since I first started coloring them (around strip 112 was the first time), but often the pictures are so small that you can’t see the color clearly in the webcomic’s image. They’re actually a really light blue. My inspiration was that bright light blue color you see on blue-eyed dogs.
I believe it. Apparently there’s also a seasonal carnival called Funderland which operates outside Dublin, according to one reader. I can’t believe anyone would ever use such a doofy name, but there you go.
I can confirm; I grew up near Sacramento, and had many childhood trips to Funderland. Things may have changed, but at the time the only “roller coaster” was a fairly mild train-styled one on a short loop with a couple of ups and downs. The park is very much kid-oriented (or was a few decades ago).
I’m not sure the previous page justifies throwing away the drink on this page.

Never been to Cedar Point, though I certainly know of its status. I’ve been to Darien Lake, though. I was … not impressed.
