This joke came to me about a month ago, and my brain fixated on including a reference to the Muppet Show – with no knowledge that a new Muppet movie was on its way to theatres. As it turns out, I couldn’t have been timelier.
On another note, it has only now occurred to me that Colin and Puck are living in an exact replica of my grandmother’s old, tired, wartime one-and-a-half. She’s been dead for six years, and I haven’t been inside that house in over a decade, but I can still picture it (and draw it) clear as day. It’s funny how weird little bits of life emerge from your subconscious when you create.
So it’s that time again! The beginning of the month is time to take Top Web Comics by storm in the name of Puck! And to that end, if you vote for Puck, you can see THE SEXIEST PICTURE PUCK WILL EVER PRODUCE!!! With holiday flair to boot! Though this particular incentive pic isn’t available through voting on TWC anymore, you can purchase the pic from the STORE! It’s only a buck for a set of five voting incentives! That’s what I call a deal!
Career, money, and security are overrated. Shame about The Muppets Show™ though.
The Muppet Show can never be overrated.
A woman in her 7th century with 20-something problems.
“Dammit Colin! None of my other 42 kids came at such inconvenient times!”
“Well be ok- wait, WHAT?”
First kid. Go fig.
I completely agree with Hinoron, I think it would be comic gold if at some point in the future you brought up the fact that Puck actually had other kids, kids that already grew up.
There IS established precedent for Puck having amnesia.
“Oh yeah. I remember you now. And I remember WHY I forgot about you, too.”
“I hate you so much, mom.”
Goddammit, you got me all excited about the DVDs of the last 2 seasons of the Muppet Show again, which still haven’t and might never be released!
They haven’t released those? WHY?!? Probably music rights. But I’ve recently watched the first three seasons with my kids. Very satisfying.
try ‘meet the feebles’ ;^)
Adorable. But the nose on your emoticon is disturbing…
After hundreds of years, Puck has yet to accomplish anything with her life? If she’s not “ready” for motherhood by now, I doubt she ever will be.
As for the Muppet show, here we are in 2016 and still waiting on seasons 4 and 5. My wife and I just finished watching seasons 1-3 again, so this is a regular complaint for us. At least the Time-Life “Best of” DVDs have some of the better episodes from those seasons. Ah well, first world problems and all that…
Puck’s certainly not an overachiever. And I didn’t know about the fact that they never released the fourth and fifth seasons of the Muppet Show on DVD until after this comic. So weird. I thought EVERYTHING was on DVD!
I can’t believe after 600 years she hasn’t gotten pregnant before.
I can’t either! It’s an astonishing fact.
Maybe because everybody in 15th and 16th century England thought she was a male, and was played by a boy on the stage. By the way, *yuck.*
This is a big change from the last time she became a mother. Raising Daph must have been rough.
