NEW TWC VOTING INCENTIVE! MARCH MADNESS!!!
This month, a vote for Puck on TWC gets you a glimpse at some fantastic Puck art by fantastic artists that are not me! This week we’ve got a gorgeous Art Nouveau rendition of Phoebe by Vik Machacek, a super-talented artist whom I’m lucky enough to know.
VOTE WITH ALL THE STYLE AND CLASS OF THE 1920’s! (It tastes like chicken!)
As for the comic…
People have been predicting this joke for months now, so here it is. You knew it had to show up eventually.
I think the opening from Apocalypse now seems apt at this moment.
The End (by the Doors)

As for Puck storming the castle, I bet I know who wishes they were in another one …
Ooh, let me guess! Is it Prince? I’m guessing it’s Prince.
I didn’t know Colin was royalty.
What is she planning to scratch off? Is her superior finger strength going to be enough? These are the important questions!
I thought it was all best left to the imagination. But my guess is that she’d go for the tenderest parts where finger strength really isn’t as much of an issue.
Given what happened to that phone, I don’t think any part of Colin (including that obviously thicker than average skull) is going to be an issue for Puck’s finger strength, do you?
Panel 1. Has the line “You people have made a big mistake” ever worked? Anywhere? Ever? Not that it would keep anyone from trying it.
Panel 2. Little does Colin suspect that this social worker may live in a trailer. Really.
Panel 3. In the background, is that the Grain Elevator Ride? Also, “dun-dun-DUNNNNN!”
Panel 4. And now it’s time for Chekhov’s Social Worker to do her stuff!!!
It’s not a grain elevator; it’s the pseudo-Mexican architecture of ‘International Village’, the main hub section of this amusement park. I actually drew from ref pics for some of the details. That goofy building actually now houses both a Starbucks and a Subway.
Alas, the noble Grain Elevator goes uncelebrated, even in Canada’s Funderland.
don´t worry colin, your ladylove didn´t ruin a thing – the social lady was beyond unimpressed by your poor attempt. as for what puck is going to scratch off? welp, i´d say she starts with his beard, before working her way down to his balls….or maybe the other way round? anyway, colling will have some impressive scarrs afterwards.
See? You’re a person who thinks creatively about scratching.
Welp, looks like Puck will have to rely on the style, grace, and people skills of Phoebie to save the day.
Uh oh. They’re DOOMED.
By “they”, you mean everyone else on Earth, right?
Sure.
Agatha Christie’s “And Then There Was None” on a global scale. Can’t wait.
Phoebe could call Daddy to help calm things down. Oh wait…
I don’t know how things could get much worse, but I feel Satan would find a way.
Well, isn’t that Satan’s whole raison d’être in the first place?
I think that we forgot the magic guy who says, “you are the brute squad. “
Where’s Billy Crystal when you need him?
Far away which is where I need him.
WE’RE CLOSED.
We were crazy hippie bastards. We closed down the New York State tthroughway.
Puck and Colin are actually together again after… How many months? Six? I forget. Awesome.
I like how Daphne’s face in panel 3 looks like “Oh boy, I really wish I wasn’t here right now” but also like “I wonder what in the world happened…”
I often take a good while figuring out the right expression for the observers and passive players in a scene. It’s surprisingly challenging.
Well, at least Colin’s family doesn’t live next door to a crack house, right? I mean, the Social Worker would surely have social-worker-y things to do, if that were the case.
Wait a minute …
Hey, let’s not dig too deep into this garden. There’s too many bodies down there.
I figure the cell will get crowded with Puck and Phoebe in there way them…but, then, a couple of minutes after, it won’t be as crowded.
That’s adorable that you think mere bars can hold Robin “Strength of ten men, can snap phones in two with just their fingers when they’re angry” ‘Puck’ Goodfellow …
No, no, I mean they’ll throw Puck and Phoebe in with the others and we’ll see whether mere bars can hold the others, starting with Colin, when Puck squeezes them out between them.
But that’s my point. Who on earth is going to survive trying to throw Puck anywhere?
(No-one, that’s who.)
Yeah, the cell don’t look too big. Mind you, maybe it extends to the right for a long distance. Hard to say. Puck makes her own room anyway.
Funny the expression Puck has in Panel 3 is actually scarier than the one in Panel 4. Oh, and Phoebe looks like she is thinking, “At least she isn’t mad at me. This time.”
And, I love the Mucha-styled Phoebe in the Incentive.
A slow burn is always scarier than a fast explosion, I say.
On the other hand …

Some background here, the explosion was way bigger than it was meant to be. The actor (Sylvester McCoy), professional that he was just kept going without flinching. It certainly wasn’t what he’d been led to expect, putting it mildly.
Sylvester McCoy will never be my Doctor, mainly because he came after two doctors that were. But I give him cool props here.
If the comments are correct, he also had a concern that he might also have been on fire. The fact that he kept going on in character despite that quite unexpected surprise just shows how much of a boss he is.
PS: Having actually set myself on fire at least once in the past, I am even more impressed by his (lack of) reaction to the possibility.
Puck sure is peeved.I’ll bet Phoebe’s dad looked just like that when God cast him out of Heaven along with his followers.
Better to reign in hell than serve in heaven as the whole saying goes … makes you wonder about what implies about that particular corner of Canada though …
Hard to say. His face is always in shadow.
What evil lurks in the heart of men? The Shadow knows …
“The Shadow?”
“The Shadow!”
“The Shadow.”
Where’s Mark?
Ummm, he’s standing over there.
A virtual cookie to the first to get this reference.
That actually was a good setup because I had completely forgotten about Puck’s current attire 😀
That’s what happens with ridiculously slow update schedules!
