I’m doing an archive re-read and I actually find this strip hysterical. The cement suppliers line is great but panel three destroys me. Solid, baby, solid.
I’m glad to hear that. Political humour is always a bit hit or miss. But it’s always nice to know that someone else out there shares my weird sense of humour.
I don’t get why you apologized for this one. “Whatever floats your boat, Ben” is one of my favorite lines in this comic. And this comic has had no shortage of great lines.
Panel three=win. Panel four would have been a total throwaway were it not for Phoebe’s shapely presence, and “whatever floats your boat Ben.” Would have been better if she had said nothing at all, and everyone just stared at the TV with Satan’s final words literally hanging over their heads.
