Swimsuitember is not Colin in a mankini … yet. Though no promises in coming weeks. As for Daphne’s expression, I was trying to convey the fact that even she was surprised by their success. I hope it came through.

That would be ironic, certainly. But I’ve never known free to exist at theme parks.
Yeah, they’d only give them away “free” if they were closing down the ride, and this way they could avoid paying to haul them to the dump.
I’m sure they have some market value. Everything does. They’d auction that junk in a heartbeat.

I know it can’t last, by Sitcom Logic if nothing else, but I have to say that Happy Daphne is adorable.
And if she ever hears I said that, she’ll likely plot my gruesome demise, but it’s still true.

That might not really be a change. However, that last panel in particular looks like Mommy Daphne happily nursing baby Stolen Shnorf. She’s growing up! And that’s one Dirty Old Animatronic Schnorf.
I thought the added maternal overtone to the final panel was funny, particularly when placed against a scene of destruction. But make no mistake: Daphne is only ever protective or maternal towards cold, hard cash. Or that which can be traded shortly for cash.
Yes, but adorable in the same way that seals seemed adorable until you watched ‘March of the Penguins.’ Then you’re like, “OH GOD! THE SEALS ARE MERCILESS FIENDS OF DEATH AND DESTRUCTION! WHY WAS I NEVER TOLD?!?”

Sad. The land’s been re-themed with Peanuts now, and I’m not sure any of the old Smurf Village existed when I was there last summer. I might have missed it. Or was it that big baby change/security station in the middle of the zone? Hmmm.
I must admit that I felt a certain pang of loss/nostalgia walking around. The old Barney Burgers had been removed, but part of the old Flintstones architecture had been repainted and had some pumpkins(?) added to it. It was a bittersweet trip down memory lane.
