So the deal here is that I've been working on background images for that bonus comic I keep working on. I had some backgrounds of scenery from my city drawn and colored but nothing that would make a good voting incentive. So I quickly drew a pic of Puck, smacked something together and the end result actually looks pretty good!

As Canadian author Douglas Coupland once noted, it’s hard to clearly identify Canadian cuisine as a fully formed national palette. But there are themes and motifs that run throughout, and one of the most prevalent is the Canadian penchant for food that comes from a can or box. So I’m guessing yes. Even though I don’t think I’ve ever seen it.
How most things fly: Pure, unadulterated rage. At sufficient concentrations, inanimate objects will take flight by virtue of being within arm’s reach of the epicenter. I should add that this is in no way strictly limited to purely inanimate objects. It can also include living beings without the mobility or reaction time to escape.
That’s not how Douglas Adams posited you fly. He said that you fly when you reach a state of such shock that you forget about gravity entirely. Then gravity ceases to have an impact on your reality.

Up here, ALL supermarkets have maple syrup. All. Multiple types. Molasses, meanwhile, is relegated to a few dusty cartons somewhere in the baking aisle.

Is the girl who just moved there from Florida, isn’t it? She secretly hates donuts, pancakes, hot dogs and hockey.
Squirrel is in El Goonish Shive and has telekinesis as well.
I do like the rare comics that recognise that Daphne is not quite human.
I also like emotive ears, they are one of the reasons you see a lot of funny animal comics, ears are an easy way to convey emotion.

IRL animals use their Tails even more than they use ears.
Fortunately cartoonists ignore this fact, or panels everywhere would be full of butt-shots.

It’s interesting that geneticists have identified that one of the most significant genetic differences between dogs and wolves is a gene that allows dogs to manipulate their eyebrows in a slightly human-like fashion. I’m pretty sure the ears are tied to that too. So we find dogs adorable because we’ve selectively bred for adorable dogs that have faces which remind us of our own.
I so want to post a pic of an English bulldog, a pug and a Doberman in response to that!
The emotive ears are incredibly fun and useful for an artist. They carry so much expression in them. Definitely a failing of human anatomy to not have dog ears.

So if you’re ever wondering where a narrative in this comic is going, it’s probably going exactly where you’re expecting it to, and then some.

Now that you mention it, I’m a bit concerned that the L T and O are engaged in some form of “Penetrating Behavior”, which I pray is consensual. 😛
True ‘behind the scenes’ info: I didn’t draw that Hamilton logo at all. The ‘Hamilton’and the ‘Ontario’ were swiped and vectorized from an actual vintage Hamilton postcard. I’m bad at font design and that goes double if I need a font that, say, communicates a certain level of vintage kitsch. So instead I readily steal from REAL vintage kitsch for my own nefarious purposes.
I can understand that.
Now I wonder about the designer. Not enough to do anything about it, tough.
The encounter between Daphne and Hannah makes me think the Prom King and Queen titles will go to Tyler and Daphne. I don’t think Hannah really wants it, and also, she has enough friends to make what she wants actually happen.
