Chapter: Junior PromCharacters: Daphne HannahTags: blind prom stunt
VALENTINE'S DAY VOTING INCENTIVE IS HERE! I take no responsibility for this one. This is a concept hatched by one of my fine patrons on Patreon and then promptly seconded by a few other fine patrons, so I felt compelled to draw it. I totally did not actively choose to draw this image due to its inherent fun factor. And the fact that I wanted to draw it. Totally nothing to do with me. VOTE TO TRY THE CATNIP! As for this comic... Not much to say, other than to note that I realized when working on this comic that Hannah must be tiny. I mean, we've mostly seen her standing next to Daphne, and Daphne is not tall. Daphne is about four inches shorter than Puck and Phoebe, and Hannah is another four inches shorter than that, so ... that makes Hannah a whopping five foot nothing. That's short. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

  • Quick question about the voting incentive (Which is AMAZING, btw): I noticed that Emily bears a great resemblance to Tracee. Are they by any chance related? Or maybe Emily is Tracee’s geek alter ego! Is that it? I’m just curious

  • Justin

What is this comic rated? Did whatever Hannah suggested to Daphne need to be censored to maintain that rating? I am entranced and intrigued, as I’m guessing Tyler might be if Daphne can bring herself to do whatever Hannah has just suggested.

Maybe too dangerous for the universe; definitely so hot and outgoing that she’s borderline frightening.

  • SalemCat

    Come on Daffy.

    You have the EQUIPMENT.

You’ve teased Tyler far too long.

  • Lokitsu

    Always beware the tiny ones.

  • Wyvern

My headcanon is that she’s talking about the “Dirty Dancing” catch, as demonstrated earlier by Phoebe and Papa Shnorf.

  • Brother Parvus

Size ain’t everything, as you said, EG. The most absolutely stunning young woman I ever knew stood just an inch less than five feet tall with an absolutely perfectly-proportioned all-of-her, and the personality to go with it.

  • DLKmusic

Love this page, Geck, but to be honest, I’m still trying to pick my jaw up off the floor after seeing that voting incentive!

    • ElectricGecko

People seem to like this one. Not sure what’s putting this incentive image over the top, but if you’re happy, I’m happy.

      • DLKmusic

Well, one thing that definitely stands out to me anyway, is that I can only think of one pic of Phoebe that I thought was sexier, which was when she was the “Distraction” in the hospital…

Guys dig cat-girls… no rhyme, no reason, we just do! I think it’s in our DNA…

  • Pat

Climbing into the boys bedroom window?

  • CLUES:
    1. Daphne is surprised you can do it
    2. Eyesight would be an asset
    3. Hannah is ok with it
    4. Ty would like it but would never ask Daphne for it

    PRELIMINARY CONCLUSIONS:
    1. It is something legal [Daphne already knows about crime]
    2. It does not have to be done in the dark [It could also involve projectiles but let’s skip that]
    3. It is edgy, but not intrinsically evil
    4. It does not directly contradict Ty’s rejection of her, but approaches his heart by a well-worn path

    THEREFORE, A PREDICTION:
Daphne brings Ty a pizza with pineapple

    • ElectricGecko

Well, Hawaiian pizza DOES meet all of those criteria. True. And Hawaiian pizza is a distinctly Ontario dish, invented around Chatham by a Greek restauranteur. So the whole world can blame us, if they wish.

      • SalemCat

        @EG

I love pineapple, even on Pizza.

Which reminds me – Chinese Restaurants were famous for offering Pineapple titbits with Toothpicks, at the end of the meal. For decades.

        But now, never.

  • R00k

Most of the women in my family are quite short and, like Hannah, very intimidating. Several years ago, my extremely diminutive grandmother (standing tall at 4’10”) chased a burglar out of the house armed with a candlestick as if it were a light saber.

  • mermaidan

No surprise the voting pic is popular; twice the presence of fantasy females results in twice the pleasure.

    • ElectricGecko

Well, one and a half times. Emily is only partially in frame. (And if anyone thinks I actually drew the rest of Emily, I did not. Never draw any more than is required of you. Ever.

  • Ah, but will he respect her after she pss pss…?

  • demarion

Rather a reversal of fortune here, methinks. A reversal of something, anyway.

  • Frank Harr

I am SO reminded of when Elan explained that you can’t announce your plan out loud if you want it to work. This is looking good for Tylor. 🙂 O.K., Daphne.

You know, small people can be fierse. When Nanni rescued X, she dragged him and he was a big and strong lad and could cary Nanni like she was nothing.

Does Hannah have the good of the world in mind, or has she decided yet?

  • ChrisH

Emily vs. Phoebe- oh, how the fur will fly! 😉

  • Valkeiper2020

After spending some time away from the US, I finally got back.
I used to comment here as “Valkeiper2012”, but somehow, that name is not open to me.

Anyway, Gecko is still doing an excellent job.
Obviously, he has experienced how ‘challenged’ folk operate (I can’t called them “handicapped”-wouldn’t be fair).

As he has noted. while one sense may be challenged, the other senses enhanced as compensation.
But so does their sensitivity to other people’s plight and their desire to help.

    excellent work, Gecko.

    • ElectricGecko

Welcome back, friend. And the 2012 name WILL work. I don’t know why the site held it for approval but it’s live now.

I am glad you feel Hannah is a fair rep of a blind person. She is vaguely modeled on the mother of a childhood friend. This lady wasn’t quite as spicy as Hannah, let’s say, but she always surprised me with her insights, her humor and her uncanny ability to do things I would have assumed impossible.

  • Buggle

You effortlessly fill me with dread.

  • mermaidan

Three cheers for three appears byt he lonely little flower.

    • ElectricGecko

It’s a dandelion. There are lots of dandelions everywhere around here. Sometimes lonely. Often with friends. But drawing a more realistic number of dandelions (like, 150?) might get a little tedious, so I draw one.

  • ChrisH

@EG, Apparently, Emily resents Phoebe’s HORNING IN on her territory. 😉
