Veal isn’t correct, H. Sapien apparently tastes closer to pork; hence the term “long pig”.
Fun fact – the low-and-slow BBQ cooking method was originally invented for long pig, and not today’s swine.
I would have expected shirt cuffs and spats, but that might be getting into the territory of an all-male…entertainment…group that takes it’s name from a VERY finely-crafted furniture company.
The in-depth dives on YouTube that talk about firsthand accounts of this wonderful subject fall somewhere in the range of pork and veal, but the most detailed account we have identifies veal, not pork, as the closest match. And he identified veal because he said it tastes like meat but without any real marked distinguishing flavour. There’s no real distinct overtones or undertones. So yeah, that guy swore up and down that fine veal was the closest match.
I can offer no personal insight. Though I somehow suspect Puck might.
May I recommend The Cabin In The Woods? The long-deserted cabin wherein weary travellers may have a night’s rest. Pay no attention to the rust-like spatters on the floors and walls, merely signs of previous occupancy by passing foxes and monkey-bears. Oh how lucky, a film camera with found footage! A working VCR and tv with which to occupy the passing hours! Ah, the fog? Simply a climactic condition, there is nothing in the skeins of mist that is not there in the day. Relax, enjoy the night, do for a laugh write your names and the date in this discarded guest register. From some hotel, the -ates Motel, alas the first letter is illegible. Yes, it is annoying, but come, don’t let it keep you up all night, a good night’s sleep and everything will look so much better in the morning . . . .
But if they go to an abandoned cabin, then I need to DRAW an abandoned cabin. Repeatedly.

Sorry to post twice, but this calls close to the trope: “No Party Like A Donner Party”.
Though if they turn the tables and eat Colin instead, it’d be more like “Just Eat Gilligan” (fitting, actually, since it was his idea to go to this convention in a van he was barely ready to drive).

An hour later, Puck and Miranda return in a tow truck.
She is shocked an infuriated to find Phoebe sitting sideways in the passenger seat, her ankles crossed behind Colin’s head.
Puck: “WHAT THE ACTUAL F@#$, COLIN!?!?!?”
Colin (lifts his head up, halfway): “Mut you dold me to dell you how erebody dastes!”
Puck: “We were OBVIOUSLY still talking about cannibalism, not c—————————! …Where the hell are Tyler and Daphne?”
Colin: “Oh. Back seat.”
Tyler’s voice: “In the interest of compiling data for Puck’s flavour research project, Daphne tastes a little like hot dogs.”
Puck: “GAAAH! KILL YOU ALL!
Tow truck driver: “Wow… everything they say about con-goers is true!”
