like Colin, I try to be right/correct and somehow usually end up so at just the worst times.

Well, that’s one thing you can count on a toddler to do: Throw themselves headfirst into danger at the first opportunity.
They’re good at that. It’s their primary skill.

It served us (well the ones that survived) well as a species! Curiosity, great discoveries and all that… Plus toddlers are made of that jello stuff that bounces back up after a fall that would leave an adult in need of a stretcher

The thing with parenting: we’re all amateurs when we start.
A job so important should allow for a few practice pieces because starting in for real.
Enh, my parenting skills got no better on kid #2. Maybe they got a bit worse? Hard to say.

Actually, I’m not sure if the Funderland episode would count as one or two.
Second. But I qualify this more as Puck AND Colin losing Miranda, so it’s different.
The bored toddler wandered off. I wonder why more scary stories don’t start off like that.

There now. If they’d had her on a leash with a choke collar it wouldn’t have happened.
They work on dogs. But dogs are smarter than kids. Kids just keep pulling until they die.
Has someone suggested that Colin should just put Miranda on his shoulders, like more experienced parents do? That would save his tired arms.
Some kids don’t go on the shoulders. Mine never did, really. Too squirmy.
