I see Colin’s got some balls sometimes. Risking the Wrath of the Redhead? Big brass ones, indeed.
Colin knows what lines he can and cannot cross. Mild jerkiness is unlikely to get him pummeled, so it’s a safe expression of his inner idiot. Most men know this. They read it in the Almanac.
But I thought that the lines were different with violent redheads like Puck. 🙂

I’ve seen that in a different form; the Manly Manual. It was created Colom Keating, which is based on his comedy radio show, Mr. Manly.
All fiction on that show, btw. While Colom Keating wrote the books and voices the character, Mr. Manly is only a character that Colom Keating created, and is not a representative of his life or views.
There’s also the Alphabet of Manliness by Maddox – one of the funniest books I’ve ever read. Shockingly, hilariously over-the-top. Highly recommended.
I have seen a vision of the future…, I see Colin, having to @#$%%@@## ###@#%%#$@ because all other fun time activities involving two people will be discontinued until he washes at least one coffee cup…, I also see Puck burning out her brain to figure out how to get even with Daphne.
That’s why the smart man never refuses to do dishes. The smart man just does a bad job of the dishes, which usually earns praise and exempts you from ever having to wash the dishes again.

I always find it funny the women who “withhold fun activities” as punishment. I mean, they are suffering just as much as the man is, and it takes a LOT less effort for a male body to “relieve tension”.
I know, “it’s not the same”, but to use a food related metaphor, you’re not going to pass up a burger if the steak is unavailable.
Of course, most men haven’t realized this, which has given me an advantage in the few serious relationships I’ve had over the years. Then again, most men only have one blood in their body to operate one “brain” at a time. 🙂

Ugh I hated being called Matron cause it usually meant work. Poor Puck at least after I got home I flung around the knowledge of my bleeding and destroyed lad yparts(figuratively) and made the first forays into maternal guilt. I current have a summer home and condo there as it has served me very well 🙂

I think that Catholics are not permitted to use birth control is because they believe that if you’re meant to have children you’ll end up having them despite any and all efforts not to.
1. You assume most Catholics follow all the archaic rules of their church.
2. This has nothing to do with the comic. Gecko has mentioned nothing of religion outside of the comical depiction of Satan. And since most cultures have a Satan figure in their mythology, the version in this comic is merely a physical representation of evil, instead of a figure in 3 major world religions.
