Here’s another glimpse into the office of Satan, who also happens to be the University’s president. As you can probably tell from looking at the Vice-o-tron 9000, I have a real thing for dated technology. I like all those dials and buttons and flip switches that they had on 50’s-era sci-fi robots. Notice the pitchfork antenna: a little devilish flourish.
I’ll let you decide whether the Vice-o-tron 9000 was actually designed to give read-outs on all campus sin or whether it was just designed to explode. I suppose it really doesn’t matter in the end.
I just noticed that I went out of my way with the backgrounds on this strip. Not even a line to vaguely suggest the existence of something behind the characters – that’s a new low, even for me!
I’m going to say that the odd little wheel on the side is the little steam escaper from a pressure cooker. Which clearly needs a lot more release capability when tuning into campus lust/promiscuity.
I loved that game! (Also I have no idea how many minutes or hours I’ve been reading… Found you through an advert on a website I decided to risk them with.)
Danged lack of edit! Just wanted to add that the indicator probably is spring-loaded and simply reset itself to the left when whatever was pushing it to the right gave up the ghost.

Don’t be too hard on yourself. It is very fitting for a devil themed b/w strip those style at that time was very much like the (better) Chick Tracts. By the Power of Vimsickall bestowed on me by the Forthoughtfathers I herewith retcon this as a reminiscence in subtext! Very clever of you, see?

Why did the central indicator move to the left when the device was overloaded? It should have jammed over to the right.
