I just checked to see if this story arc had eclipsed the junior prom as the longest arc in the comic's history, but no. We're not even up to Scooby Doo arc length yet! That's efficiency in storytelling for ya!

I have to agree with Pat, you’ve stumbled onto a good new look for Daphne. Maybe just tidy her hair up a little.
I agree, but she’s looked cute even back when she was a pup, now she’s leading towards the crazed-sexy area. I think she’d look great with shoulder length hair myself š
Idonātknow Iām kinda fond of the short tied back look she was sporting in 777/778, but this one is nice as well.
IMNSHO she’s been looking particularly cute for the whole of this wild-haired look.

Poor Daphne, over caffeinated, trying to brain storm this alone, and has only a glimmer of what she’s fighting. It’s like trying to figure out what Skynet was planning before it went world-wide. Hiding in her basement room helped, but I’m sure if they wanted to, they could bug her room, or use parabolic mics to listen in. She needs sleep, but is too freaked out to do it.

Are you familiar with the meme/joke that is a still frame from Star Trek Deeps Space Nine where someone is describing the Elf on a Shelf theory to Major Kira, and then the next picture is her readying (cocking?) a phaser saying the line, “Sounds like a collaborator.”

We are, indeed, entering the actual ādoing somethingā phase of this arc. First we needed things to get bad, then we needed to wallow in the bad, and now we need to climb out of that valley of badness.
ah! the classic Campbellian Hero’s Journey! Complete with Faithful Companion Ty, Wise Counsellor Hannah, and Magic Princess Phoebe.
Will they rescue the Prince (of Darkness) – and will our hero Daphnie Learn A Valuable Lesson on the way?

I’m in favor of the plan that involves explosives.

If you use enough explosives the location doesn’t matter. Granted, at such point we are not talking about CHEMICAL explosives.

They are boxes filled with Asian currency and caviar. Iām assuming theyāre stolen, or being actively sold on the black market.
With in being Daphne they could’ve “fallen off a truck” somwhere.
This is specifically a callback to strip #274, where we learned that the caviar did indeed fall off a truck.

Ok, big hair Daphne is hot. It must have taken all kinds of time to tame that mop into her normal style, and probably explains her generalized angry outlook.
Second, is that Tee she’s rocking part of some kind of advertising campaign? Surely it’s not a literal invitation to grope her… is it?
Shirt is a reference to the song āGood Vibrationsā by Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. Itās a running gag that all of Daphneās sleepwear from the start of the comic has featured quotations from early 90s pop rap.
Tyler is wise. Donāt mess with explosives kids. When I was a boy I saw a poster in Italy showing what can happen if youths handle unexploded war munitions. It was very graphic. To this day, I remember it. I avoid such things and I still have all my limbs and fingers..
There are many videos on the Internet illustrating the reasons you donāt f%$& around with explosives. Some kids should see them.
