At least the man knows when he has a temporary disadvantage in the current situation. I mean when a tiger is literally involved in the situation, then he knows he lost this battle…right?

I can just imagine Mirror Universe Phoebe making her entrance by bursting out of Cabal Guy’s chest.
Only Cabal Guy doesn’t die, he justs reforms like the T-1000 from Terminator Two.

Think again: Mirror Universe Puck spent those 621 years by studying, training, fae stuff and so. Sure she’s chill and stable. She can also throw people without touching them.

The metaphorical possibilities abound.
I’m really glad to see Hannah featured again in the strip.
Maybe with her other semi-unnamed peeps with her, we might eventually see some of Hannah’s wild side that she hinted at years ago post-prom.
The Hannah peeps are Derek and Cassidy. They’ve been named. They just haven’t been added to the character roster yet. But I might get there.
The lion has been called the “king of beasts” but tigers are bigger. Phoebe has impressive taming skills.
Well, she’s not taming anything. She’s just able to talk to them. So it’s more a rational discussion than a bending to her will.
Isn’t saying you have an ace up your sleeve just admitting that you’re cheating?
Well, they’ve been cheating since day one. So no surprises there.

Most transparent metaphor ever. Did she not appreciate the type of goofball she’d been hanging with? Mind you, her own brand of goofball’s got a reputation that would normally be the intimidating one so why would she? I get where she’s coming from.
It’s hard to have an objective viewpoint on one’s own goofballs.

I’ve been growing mutant Venus Flytraps, and they require constant supervision.
I expect in another month when the flies arrive, I’ll have them well trained to gobble-gobble.

I actually want them to sing to attract prey, like the “legendary” Sirens.
But the lyrics elude me.
I’m also working on some mutant Pitcher Plants.
They are extra colorful, and extra large. And possibly extra hungry.
But like, perhaps, a vegetable Sydney Sweeny, they seem far to content – and smug in their obvious superiority – to even attempt to carry a tune.
Which is ironic, considering they are nature’s trumpets.
They also consume their prey – silently – soundless and without motion.
In a way, oddly humble. Compared to the Flytraps which gloat when their traps are shut – a symbol of victory.
Mysterious and perhaps beyond any motivation a cat can offer.
Again … Sydney Sweeny.
I might have to add Butterworts to my carnivorous army.
They appear harmless. Yet their leaves are very sticky. A fly lands – is stuck – and then is slowly adsorbed
Victory is clearly visible. They make it seem so easy.
“Look at me” “Touch me” and then you die and are totally consumed.
But, like Sydney Sweeny, few can resist.
