As for this comic...
Look at that! We're at the wrap-up stage! This whole arc may be over by comic #900! What efficient storytelling! Finishing this story arc which I started over three years ago! (Sigh.)

What type of robot runs on Baja Blast ?
Only the most evil and banal robots.
All the good and more advanced robots use milk in their veins. The more advanced evil robots have modified milk ingredients powering them.
Hey, you can power lots of stuff with simple sugars.
Well it does have a pretty good energy density, about half that of TNT.
TNT approx 4 kj per gram
Baja Blast approx 2 kj per gram
Exactly. Not quite rocket fuel. But close!
That’s 700 BTU’s per 12 oz. can (U.S.).
Ask me how I know.
I will bite. How do you know?
Trying exotic rocket fuels?
Fraternity initiation demolition?
Just infinitely curious?
“I will bite. How do you know?”
Whell! I have a unit conversion app that can convert ratios. So, I went to convert 2 kJ per g (I misread your original post) to some number per 12 oz. (a possible can size for Baja Blast).
However! grams is a measure of mass and fl.oz are a measure of volumn. I googled the density of Baja Blast and found that it was maybe, possibly 1.04 g per ml. Weirdly, the AI digest was actually helpful (if accurate).
Rather than the stupid thing I’d originally thought of I divided 1 by 1.04 and got 0.96153846153 ml.
Then! I went back to my unit conversion app (ratio conversion mode) and converted 2 kJ (or sn·m) pr 0.9614 etc. to 699.80328 BTU per 12 fl.oz (U.S.). Or, rounded ’cause of all the uncertanty, 700 BTU per 120 oz. can.
Yes, I do think of it as that exciting. Yes, it’s a problem.
I thought it was pretty bold that Tracee would sample that…
She’s probably accustomed to sampling all kinds of liquids. (Make of that what you will…)
I was going to ask if the ALT-Text was gone, but I guess I’m just here so quickly after upload that it’s not ready yet. I see it’s there on last week’s comic.
Good comic
It wasn’t there because I … forgot to add it. I’m still getting used to the interface for adding comics and I missed the box for the alt-text. It’s there now, though.
Okay, robots take over Satan’s operation, throw him and Tracee out, evil. But use his preferred drink as their fuel, now that’s just plain rude! Blast it all, there are standards in all endeavours, including evil!
No honor among thieves, I guess.
Well . . . it was there.
Do we know which BB is his favorite? There are fifteen different versions, counting the alcoholic versions – – maybe it makes a difference in robot powers?
Original. The other versions aren’t available in Canada.
And you think lack of local availability would stop the Lord of Darknesses minons’ meeting his needs?
Well, word of god I suppose takes precedence.
I don’t know about the possibility of blood being left behind after cleaning a plastic kiddie pool. But it sure makes clean up a breeze. If it doesn’t spill while disposing of deflated evidence.
Hey, the pool is obviously there for a reason!
At least Satan stays classy holding that ladder….
Well, I think the ladder is attached to the wall, so it doesn’t need to be held.
He’s not even looking up, but away. What kind of a Satan looks respectfully away?! FROM TRACEE! Sure, Tracee isn’t wearing a skirt, but if you’re unrepentantly evil…..
There’s still more shading to do…
Wait. She IS wearing a skirt!
Oh, you noticed that.
We ALL noticed that….
Sometimes I forget things. The first panel does seem to be shorts rather than skirt.
“Sometimes I forget things. The first panel does seem to be shorts rather than skirt.”
These things happen. And I liked the line, perhaps a tad too much.
You know, I don’t think he’s *holding* the ladder as much as he’s just got to the bottom of it and is in mid-transition to walking across the floor.
Also, I don’t think he’s avoiding looking up Tracee’s skirt as much as he’s looking where Sigmund’s telling him to. They’re in different directions.
The grinder suffered massive damage? Those things can eat cast iron engine blocks! With the crankshaft still in them!
The “Colonel” must’ve had explosives or a laser blaster built into its body.
I’m guessing Satan has a discount version.
He got it from Temu.
Makes sense.
I’ve been hearing you’re not supposed to put eggshells down a garbage disposal, but that hasn’t stopped me. Why can’t they make a puppy grinder than can handle robots?
Oh they definitely can, but Satan wasn’t going to pay that much.
Okay so….looking at the type of grinder he has, I feel like it wouldn’t sustain any damage from just a robot. Those things can chew up damn near anything.
You’re probably right. Either he has a cheap version of a grinder, or the robot was made of tungsten carbide. Or both.
Couldn’t be the tungsten carbine unless Puck has the strength of the Hulk to knock one’s head off in a single blow.
She does.
On the whole, I think I could argue Dr. Pepper > Mt. Dew Baja Blast as soda of evil.
SODA! of evil
Well, Satan got won over to Dr. Spicy, the off-brand version of Dr. Pepper, while staying at Puck’s house. Not sure if that’s less or more evil.
Oh wow, I forgot about that. And it’s only been about 2.5 years. What is the matter with my memory.
The real question:: is the puppy grinder insured?
Satan is evil, but insurance companies are a whole different level.
Evil insurance. For evil.
I can’t believe she did that! Tracee is a bold woman!
The original plan had Sigmund tasting it, but I decided at the last minute to switch it to Tracee.
I liked it.
oh what a shame that grinder may never grind another puppy what a shame.
The real tragedy here.
I get the weird feeling that if you put Franky from One Piece on Baja Blast, he’d become corporate and suuuuuper evil.
Likely.
Oh, so that’s why they protected the Baja Blast machine.
REEEEEASONS!
Indeed.

Mind you, it could have been just that one dude. Sanders liked Baja Blast. Pilsberry liked food. And Nas was nasty.
What variant of Baja Blast is viscus enough to coat a finger to the point where its color is evident?
I dunno. A concentrated version.
Slurpee
So, uh, from page 868 on clicking on the strip just links back to the same page the strip’s on rather than the next page.
It’s not just that comic. I think the new plugin doesn’t have a ‘click the comic to advance’ for any comic. Didn’t realize that, but now I do.
Last night, I saw a production of A Midsummer’s Night’s Dream. Puck and Nick Bottom stole the show.
As is standard. There’s an off chance that Helena steals the show, but that’s honestly rare.
She did try.
