Daphne returns, older and and even more cynical than before. So this is Daphne 2.0, in teen format. It was surprisingly easy to generate the new character design for her. It just clicked.
I don't know what kind of flight Daphne is canceling in the last panel, but it seemed to hint at high-stakes stuff that no tween should rightly be involved in. Which is the point, I guess.
Don’t be. Your comic, your design. I don’t have any issues with it, and I wouldn’t be surprised if most don’t. Even if it did look out of place (I don’t think that it does), she’s clearly clearly not human, and has plenty of other features which are non-standard – in fact, her lower lip is one of her more human facial features – compare hers with Puck’s and Phoebe’s.
Yeah, I’m not really sorry. “Sorry” is just the Canadian way of saying “Go away.” But I thank you for the vote of confidence. If I felt there were a serious issue with her design, I would have changed it by now.
Hunh, from the comic itself I’d interpreted Daphne’s comment as a snarky metaphor. Seems like a reasonable thing to say if she’s just on the phone with a friend, planning to hang out.

Actually, I deleted the annoying extremes. You’re only reading the EDITED version of his comments. But hey, I’m Canadian. I wouldn’t tell him off. I’d just delete his comments and quietly pretend like he never existed. That’s the Canadian way.
And she keeps being redesigned from this point forward. She’s the hardest for me to pin down in terms of a look I’m happy with. From this point, she sort of ages up, and her facial structure seriously alters over the next 100 comics.
So the Daphne isn’t so fat any more… but still has that ridiculous saggy lip.

Well, she’s also got Phoebe to contend with. And so far, Phoebe’s proven to be a running distraction for Tyler.
