I personally can't figure out whether property values in a place named Spooky Valley would be higher than average or lower.
Any place named Spooky Valley has low property value but also extremely high tourism.
Also can’t believe it took me this long to comment during the scooby doo arc. The 90’s kid in me is kinda mad

Well, you’re not contractually obligated. You can be a 70’s kid, an 80’s kid, even a 2010’s kid and Scooby is still part of your cultural fabric. That’s the beauty of it!
There’s a local area here called Spooky Nook. No idea how it got that name. Currently there’s a big sports complex there for league meets and sports camps and like that. The pandemic kinda messed them up, I think.

I grew up in a town with a street called Hooker Avenue. They *said* it was named after a Civil War general, but they also *said* it was named after a local dignitary…but they also *said* it wasn’t named after you-know-what.
I just love communities that bend over backwards to offer a socially acceptable explanation for their problematic place names.
While I was trucking, I came across a place in Louisiana named (and I am NOT making this up) “Grosse Teete”.
There was/is a truck stop there called the “Tiger Truck Stop” because (You guessed it) it had living Tigers there.
I asked around and was told “Grosse Teete” is french for ‘big head’.
I don’t have to say what it means in english.
With a name like this, I reckon their high school has some pretty tough athletic teams
